The Mount Hotham Resort Management Board held its annual Stakeholder Briefing at the MCG on 21 March 2017.

Over 130 stakeholders attended to take part in this annual event.

Mount Hotham Consultative Forum

The Mount Hotham Resort Management Board created the Mount Hotham Consultative Forum in July 2014 to manage expectations of stakeholders through clearer communication.

Key stakeholder involvement, understanding and feedback is required for a successful outcome in the future implementation of the Mt Hotham Strategic Management Plan and the exciting Resort Master Plan.

The Forum facilitates Hotham's community to have the ability to provide suggestions about and give feedback on the development and implementation of initiatives that will enhance Mt Hotham, grow visitation, and improve the customer experience.

Village bus service improvements

In 2018, Mt Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board (MHARMB) introduced a new provider for the free Village shuttle bus service. Bushfire Emergency Management Plan

Bushfire risk management is complex within the MHAR due to its isolated location, steep topography, climate, environmental significance, management arrangements and the vegetation in the surrounding Alpine National Park. The Alpine Resorts (Management Act) 1997 enables the MHARMB to temporarily restrict access, control visitor movement within the resort and or deem areas to be off limits during emergencies.
